Office of Equity and Compliance (OEC)
Greetings!
Welcome to Cal Poly Ðǿմ«Ã½’s Office of Equity and Compliance (OEC). I am honored to serve as the Associate Vice President for OEC and Cal Poly Ðǿմ«Ã½’s Title IX Coordinator/Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation (DHR) Administrator.
OEC is committed to fostering a welcoming and safe campus environment where every member of our community is treated with dignity and respect and experiences a sense of belonging. As Title IX Coordinator/DHR Administrator, I oversee the University’s compliance with applicable civil rights laws and the . I am also responsible for ensuring that OEC is thoughtful, caring, and intentional in coordinating response to reports of sexual misconduct (sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, stalking and sexual exploitation) as well as discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on protected status (i.e. race, sex, gender, disability, pregnancy, national origin, etc.).
With over a decade of experience as a civil rights practitioner in higher education, I understand that these concerns can be complex and deeply personal, and that reaching out for help may not always feel easy. Our role is to help students, faculty, staff, and visitors understand the resources, supportive measures, and resolution options available so they can make informed choices about what is right for them.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself, are concerned about someone else, or simply have questions about your rights and options, we welcome you to connect with our office.
