Julie Murray Porter is a communications and digital marketing executive with over 20 years of experience leading brand, marketing, media, and digital strategy across higher education, arts, and culture. She currently serves as Director of Marketing & Communications for Cal Poly ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s College of Business Administration and the Singelyn Graduate School of Business, where she leads integrated branding, web, digital marketing, and data-informed campaigns that support enrollment, reputation, and strategic growth.

Prior to Cal Poly ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, Julie held senior marketing and communications leadership roles at UC Riverside and Loyola Marymount University’s top-ranked School of Film & Television. Earlier in her career, she worked in the music industry at Concord Music Group, leading publicity for heritage artists such as Paul McCartney and James Taylor and contributing to Grammy Award-winning campaigns for emerging artists including Esperanza Spalding.

Julie holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism.
