Students seeking support may not always know where to start. The Care Center is changing that.

Established in 2023, the Care Center is a welcoming first stop for Cal Poly Ðǿմ«Ã½ students seeking to overcome challenges and meet their personal and academic goals. More than 15,400 students have been served since it opened.

“The Care Center is essential to fostering a campus culture grounded in compassion, equity and student success. It reflects our shared commitment to supporting the whole student,” says Director Marysol Mendoza-Maldonado.

Services Include:

  • Free professional clothing from the Clothes Closet 
  • Short-term emergency housing 
  • Resources for students facing food insecurity 
  • Basic needs grants 
  • Connections to campus and community resources, such as Counseling and Psychological Services, Disability Resource Center and Student Health Center 
  • Technology loans (laptops, Wi-Fi hotspots)
  • 1-1 coaching with Bronco Wellness health educators
