Congratulations on the completion of the Administrative Services Credential program!  Please see the directions below on how to apply for either the Certificate of Eligibility or for your Preliminary Administrative Services credential:

STEP 1

  1. Visit the Credential Services website.
  2. Scroll down to the grey Verification and Processing box.
  3. Submit the Credential Recommendation Request form.

STEP 2

Once the application is submitted online by a credential analyst, you will receive an email from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).  Please follow the steps outlined in the email to submit your application and payment from your Educator Account on the Commission’s website.

Important Information

  • Students who completed in 2020 or after must have Cal APA passing scores.
  • The scores must be uploaded with the online submission.
  • If you do not have an Administrative Position at the time of program completion/recommendation, please select Certificate of Eligibility on the Credential Recommendation Request form.
  • The Certificate of Eligibility is a California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) issued document verifying completion of an approved Administrative Services Credential Program.  You are eligible to apply for positions requiring an Administrative Services Credential if you hold a Certificate of Eligibility.  This document is usually required to apply for positions, so it is important that you complete the recommendation process.  The Certificate of Eligibility does not expire, and you do not need to complete any further requirements until you are issued a Preliminary Credential.  When you are hired in a position the district will assist you in applying directly to the CTC for the Preliminary Credential.  The Preliminary Credential is issued for 5 years, and you must complete an Induction program before being issued the Clear Credential.  After being issued the Certificate of Eligibility you secure a job, please work with your district to submit a recommendation for a Preliminary.
  • Note: Cal Poly does not offer an Induction Program currently.  Please check with your district to see if it is offered, if not Cal State Fullerton and other universities may offer one.
  • If you are employed as an administrator at the time of recommendation, please select Administrative Services Preliminary Credential on the Credential Recommendation Request form.
  • You will need to submit a completed CL-777 Employment as an Administrator Form.  This form is completed by you and the employing district:
  • We will then recommend you for a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential rather than the Certificate of Eligibility.
