Cal Poly Ðǿմ«Ã½’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is offering free tax preparation for low- to moderate-income taxpayers earning $68,675 or less for the 2025 tax year. Staffed by IRS-certified accounting students and alumni and supervised by faculty who are certified public accountants, the program is offering free services at public libraries in Ðǿմ«Ã½, La Puente, Duarte and Baldwin Park through April 11. Since 2017, CPP’s VITA program has prepared more than 2,500 returns, generating over $8.6 million in refunds — including $2 million during last year’s filing season alone.
