BroncoDirect and PeopleSoft Maintenance Tonight
Summary: The CSU Chancellor's Office will perform planned maintenance on BroncoDirect and PeopleSoft tonight, Thursday, September 11, from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., midnight. All student, administrative, and human resources functions will be unavailable. Finance functions will remain available.
BroncoDirect and PeopleSoft services impacted include:
- BroncoDirect / Student Center
- Class Enrollment
- Payments
- Degree Progress Reports
- Class Search
- HR Self-Service Options
- Time & Labor
- Absence Management
- Student Employment Module
- Part-Time Faculty Module
- HR Reports
During this planned service interruption outside our regular maintenance windows, users will continue to have access to MyCPP, Canvas, email, and other IT services. Areas in MyCPP that display information from BroncoDirect and PeopleSoft will be unavailable. The Division of Information Technology and Institutional Planning tries to minimize the time systems are unavailable outside our standard maintenance windows. PeopleSoft system maintenance is an exception because the Chancellor's Office schedules maintenance for all CSU campuses.
Network Maintenance Tonight
Summary: IT will perform network maintenance this evening, Thursday, September 11.
What does this mean for you? Expect intermittent Wi-Fi and network disruptions on campus from 10 p.m. to midnight.
Planned Maintenance Times
- Thursdays, 9:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., midnight.
- Sundays, 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
During these times, online services may be briefly unavailable without advance notice.

Tickets Now Available for the 2025 Cybersecurity & Awareness Fair
The Cal Poly Ðǿմ«Ã½ Cybersecurity & Awareness Fair (CSAF) returns on October 7.
This year's theme, "Guardians of the Grid," brings together students, experts, professionals, and the community to discuss the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and practices for defending critical infrastructure against cyberattacks. This 21st annual event will be held in the Bronco Student Center on October 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets are available now, and the event is free and open to the public.
Attendees have access to sessions presented by industry-leading companies and CPP student clubs holding interactive demonstrations.
The CSAF Poster Contest
Students are encouraged to submit their research posters and engage with attendees in presenting their findings during the event.
Adobe Creative Cloud is Free for Enrolled CPP Students
Visit your for more than 20 Adobe Creative Cloud applications and services, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro, available to all CPP students to design, edit, and share their artwork for digital and print media; Cal Poly Ðǿմ«Ã½ is currently providing Adobe Creative Cloud to all enrolled students at no cost during the 2025-26 academic year.

OneDrive Sync Adjustments for Faculty and Staff
Summary: Beginning Thursday, September 11, 2025, IT-managed Windows 11 computers will no longer sync files saved to the Downloads or Favorites folders. The Division of Information Technology is making this adjustment because of recent Microsoft 365 changes that require CPP to reduce our campuswide data storage.
What does this mean for you? Faculty and staff should adjust their workflow and save files to any other location, including Documents, Pictures, Desktop, Videos, or folders they have created, to continue syncing with Microsoft's OneDrive cloud storage service. This change will only remove sync within for the Downloads and Favorites folders.
YouTube Embedded Videos in Canvas
Instructure, the company that manages Canvas, is modifying its integration of content from YouTube, and those videos in Canvas may begin displaying ads after September 22, 2025.
