Dr. Olukemi Sawyerr
Dr. Olukemi Sawyerr is the Inaugural Associate Vice President for Academic Innovation at ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ (Cal Poly ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½). In this capacity she provides strategic direction and administrative oversight to the Office of Academic Innovation. She is one of the Senior Personnels for the CREST-RASM grant.

Education and Career Development Objectives
Overview
The vision of CREST-RASM’s education and workforce development plan is to establish a comprehensive program that spans elementary, middle, and high school levels, extends through community college and undergraduate studies, and culminates in a graduate program that leads to a Ph.D. fellowship at a research-intensive institution. The comprehensive education plan, detailed and outlined with 13 key tasks, will underscore the unique opportunities offered by CREST and the collaborative efforts required to achieve CREST-RASM vision, which is not possible with individual grants.
Goal
The goals of the CREST-RASM K-12 education program are:
- To increase awareness and interest of students in STEM education and career opportunities in smart manufacturing.
- To create a pipeline of students, especially those who are URMs, to support CREST-RASM initiatives.
