UPCOMING PROGRAM: Summer Academy – Science & Technology Exploration Program
Summer Academy 2026 - Science & Technology Exploration Program at Cal Poly Ðǿմ«Ã½ is designed for middle and high school students (in 7th to 12th grades). This program provides high school students with a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge fields, including cybersecurity, finance, artificial intelligence (AI)/computer science, and biology. The program combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience through seminars, workshops, team projects, and lab work. Students will engage with real-life scenarios and participate in visits to on-campus facilities, gaining a deeper understanding of these vital fields. A Certificate of Completion from the College of Professional and Global Education at Cal Poly Ðǿմ«Ã½ will be awarded upon successful completion of the program.
Program Dates & Fees
- Dates: July 6 to July 17, 2026 (no classes on weekends)
- Time: 9:00am to 3:00pm on weekdays
- Extended Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm on weekdays
- Program Fees:
- With lodging (11 nights): $2,900/student
- Without lodging: $1,450/student
- Extended Hours: $2,050/student
Program Highlights
- Academic Exploration: Introduce students to key concepts and emerging trends in cybersecurity, finance, AI/computer science, and biology through in-classroom sessions and hands-on activities.
- Skill Development: Equip students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative skills as they work on team projects and lab activities.
- University Experience: Offer participants an experience of campus life at Cal Poly Ðǿմ«Ã½ (CPP), including interactions with faculty and current students.
- College Readiness: Provide insights into university programs and the admissions process to encourage students to consider applying to CPP in the future.
