Housing Resources
Common Housing Resources and Tips
Common resources used by students to find affordable housing near campus can be found below. Note: these resources are not affiliated with Cal Poly Ðǿմ«Ã½.
- Search online for the rental's address. Include the name of the property owner or rental company listed. Do other ads come up for the same address? Maybe with a different owner or rental company name? These are signs of a scam.
- Check out the rental company. Search their website to see if the property is listed there. If it isn't, it could be a scam.
- Don't pay for a property you've never seen. Never pay someone you've never met in person. If you can't see the apartment or sign a lease before you pay, see if a friend can see it for you, or keep looking.
Short-Term Emergency Housing
The Short-Term Emergency Housing Assistance Program provides students experiencing housing instability and displacement with temporary housing.
This helps ensure a student’s safety and wellbeing as they acquire permanent and secure housing. Placement in this emergency housing is no longer than a two week stay, pending space availability.
- If you would like to apply for emergency housing, please complete the assistance application below and a Case Manager will be in touch with you.
- If you have questions or would like to follow up, please contact the Care Center, at carecenter@cpp.edu or (909) 869-5071.
