Three departments have new chairs leading them.
Professor Anna Soper was named the permanent chair of the Department of Plant Science. She has served as the interim chair since the middle of the 2024-25 year, taking the place of Professor Eileen Cullen, who has retired.
Professor Chitra Dabas was named the permanent chair of the Department of Apparel Merchandising and Management. She served as the interim co-chair last year with fellow Professor Jiangning Che. They took the place of Professor Muditha Senanayake, who retired.
Professor Ondieki Gekara is the interim chair of the Department of Animal and Veterinary Science. He is taking the place of Professor Hyungchul Han, who is serving as interim associate dean for the college.
